Other Grant Programs

Although some of the largest student grant programs are based on financial need, many others — such as Georgia's HOPE Grant Program — are not.

Some non-need based grant programs are designed to assist students who are studying for a particular career. Others are awarded to students based on the type of institution they attend. Some small grant programs provided by private sources have unusual eligibility requirements, such as having red hair or being left-handed. (Really!)

Remember, in addition to this web site, you should check with your high school counselor, college financial aid office, local library, your parents' employers, or any civic organizations in your community.
