Applying for the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship

To be considered for the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship, you must be nominated by the high school you are attending. You can obtain an application from your high school counselor's office in December of the same academic year as your high school graduation. Completed applications are submitted to the Georgia Department of Education by February 1. Once notified of eligibility, the following information will help you with the next steps:

Eligible students may apply online.
Please note, paper applications will not be mailed to new Robert C. Byrd program recipients.
Georgia Student Finance Commission will notify eligible students when applications are available.
Renewal students will be notified by GSFC regarding procedures.
